Organizer: Brühler Schachklub 1920 e.V.

Venue: Multipurpose hall of the Clemens-August-Schule, Clemens-August-Straße 33, 50321 Brühl

Mode: 5 rounds Swiss system according to FIDE rules.

Time: Time: 90 min/40 moves + 30 min/rest + 30 sec. per move

The waiting time is 30 minutes from the start of the round.

Three tournaments, grouping according to tournament rating (TWZ). For players with ELO and DWZ numbers, the higher number is decisive.

A-tournament: TWZ ≥ 1800 (at the time of registration),

B-tournament: 1400 ≤ TWZ<2000 (at the time of registration),

C-tournament: TWZ < 1600 (at the start of the tournament). No exceptions. Registered players for the B- or C-tournament who exceed TWZ 1800 resp. TWZ 1400 between registration and tournament start may participate in the A- resp. B-tournament for 10€ extra.

All tournaments will be rated according to DWZ and ELO. The seed lists in the A- and B-tournament are made based on ELO rating, in the C-tournament based on DWZ.

Entry fee: A-tournament: 60€ for adults, 50€ for youths (cut-off date 1.1.2008)

B-tournament: 50€ for adults, 40€ for youths (cut-off date 1.1.2008)

C-tournament: 40€ for adults, 30€ for youths (cut-off date 1.1.2008)

GM/WGM/IM/WIM are exempt from the entry fee

Transfer until 06.02.2026 with name and club to the account of the Brühler Schachklub: IBAN: DE56 3705 0299 0133 3193 09, BIC: COKSDE33XXX. If payment is made after 06.02.26, the entry fee will be increased by 10€.

 In the event of a tie, the Buchholz ranking shall apply, followed by the opponents’ rating average. If all scores are equal, the prizes shall be shared. In the case of double prizes, only the higher prize will be paid out. The other prize will go to the next placed person in the respective prize group.Prize money for foreigners without permanent German residency will be subject to taxation according to the German income tax law (EStG).

FIDE ID: All participants must have a valid FIDE ID at the beginning of the tournament or apply for one from the FIDE rating officer ( elo(at)schachbund.de ) before the start of the tournament, stating their surname, first name, date of birth and sex (m/f). The format “Mustermann, Juergen; 1971-04-23;M” must be kept.

 

Other: By registering, the player declares that he/she agrees to the use of the data and tournament results collected on the occasion of the tournament for the determination of the DWZ and ELO by the bodies responsible for this purpose, as well as that photos, tournament data, match reports and similar may be published.
